• Jedna věc, která mi opravdu ležela na mysli, byla historie, americká historie a to, jak jsme tím všichni pronásledováni. Na premiéře bylo hodně zmínek o Nietzschem... Přimělo mě to přemýšlet o tom, co Nietzsche řekl o době přesycené historií a jak to vede k nebezpečné ironické náladě, jak to vede k odpoutanému diváckému přístupu namísto skutečné angažovanosti.   One thing that was really on my mind was history, American history, and how we’re all haunted by that. Opening night, there was a lot of mention of Nietzsche…. It made me think about what Nietzsche said about an age oversaturated with history and how that leads to a dangerous mood of irony, how that leads to a detactached spectatorism instead of actual engagement.
