Alexander Winchell (31. prosince 1824, Dutchess County, Spojené státy americké – 19. února 1891, Ann Arbor, Spojené státy americké) byl americký geolog.

Studium vědy je ctnost. Pozor věnovaná geologii je lidská povinnost.
