Edward Samuel Herman (7. dubna 1925, Philadelphia – 11. listopadu 2017, Philadelphia) byl americký ekonom a novinář.

• Humanitární bombardování: NATO údajně začalo bombardovat v březnu pro humanitární účely. „Humanitární“ je slovo něžné, ale humanitární bombardování je oxymóron, který spojuje vřelé srdce s řešením smrti. Vzhledem k tomu, že bombardování NATO exponenciálně zvýšilo škody způsobené těm, kterým mělo pomoci, i velkému počtu nevinných srbských civilistů, bylo protihumanitární na všech úrovních. Představitelé CIA a NATO, jako například generál Wesley Clark připustili, že negativní humanitární dopady byly očekávány. Tato fráze je propagandistickým podvodem zakrývajícím skrytou agendu, ve které neměl blahobyt kosovských Albánců téměř žádné místo. Média však nikdy nepovažovala toto slovní spojení za protimluv nebo tuto politiku za podvod v oblasti lidských práv.

The phrase is a propaganda fraud covering over a hidden agenda, in which Kosovo Albanian welfare had little or no place. But the media have never considered the phrase an oxymoron or the policy a human rights fraud.
